I am starting this blog for a design class I have just begun and would like to start off by telling you a few things about myself. I’m from a small city in Northern Ohio and just transferred universities. I’m currently majoring in fashion and retail studies, with hopes of double majoring in visual communication design. Among my many interests are snowboarding, fashion, and reading.
I am taking Dsgn 200 to learn more about design in general and because it is a prerequisite to the major I am hoping to be accepted in, visual communication. I came across this course while talking with my advisor about what classes I will need to take before applying to the visual communication program. I am especially interested in fashion and graphic design, which I will hopefully graduate with degrees in. I’ve taken a few design classes before so I don’t really have any concerns or reservations for this class. I think learning about design and how it all started is really interesting and am looking forward to learning more.
